All materials are local to Lake Pend Oreille in beautiful northern Idaho (aside from the paraffin, of course). I search extensively around the lake for the perfect pieces of driftwood to use when crafting these candles. There is a small 1 1/2-month period of time each year when the weather and water table permit the right conditions to be able to gather the best statement pieces.
Each candle is entirely unique, which of course makes them excellent gifts for those similarly unique individuals in your life. They make for the perfect deck/patio candle or can be brought out during special occasions. Most buyers do not intend to light their candles but in the event that you choose to do so: each candle has a thin layer of metal near the bottom the bowl to allow for the diffusion of the heat and flame as the wick is expended. Once finished, you may place a tealight candle of your wax and scent choice within the small opening created by the melt. There is currently no scent, and the wax type is paraffin.
